2010 logo Nursing, accounting, campaign workers, dog handlers and IT workers are just some of the “hot jobs”  in 2010.

Jayjay Viray, managing director of JobsDB.com, said while they see nurses and accountants again being in demand this year, there are other not so popular but surprisingly high-paying jobs Filipinos should consider as possible careers.

Demand for dog handlers for deployment to the Middle East and a surge of election-related jobs in the first half of the year should allay fears of the unemployed about their prospects, according to a human resource specialist.

10,000 dog handlers are wanted in the Middle East and could get a monthly pay of as much as $2,500. Engineers, construction workers and information technology (IT) experts continue to be in demand in other parts of the world, she added.
